Hello! I decided to have a stab at 23 Things for Professional Development. I hope I’ll be able to dedicate enough time to it to really get something out of it. The Things I’m most excited about are:
Week 6 – (25th July) Organising yourself
- Thing 8: Google Calendar
- Thing 9: Evernote
Week 10 – (22nd August) Organising your references
- Thing 14: Zotero / Mendeley / citeulike
Week 15 – (26th September) Promoting yourself in job applications and at interview
- Thing 22: How to identify your strengths, how to capitalise on your interests, how to write something eyecatching that meets job specs.
Mostly because they’re things I got hold of them and have never touched or have a go at every now and then but really need to spend time doing properly because it’ll be Good For Me. The carrots of the professional development world, if you will.
